Pro tip for those high humidity plants: Mist or water new emerging leaves. And by "water" I mean direct your spout so you're literally watering the leaf (think of it like you're pretending to be a big rainstorm 😄). Humidity not only keeps plant leaves from crisping up, but also prevents friction when new leaves are unfurling. Friction will damage new plant leaves or prevent it from opening up entirely for some plants. I've mentioned once before that I personally don't believe misting plants is a good substitute for a humidifier, because it's largely temporary and won't change the % humidity of your actual room. (You can find various sources for AND against misting online, and come to your own conclusions based on what you think makes sense to you.) But man, there are definite noticeable differences I've seen when I mist/water new leaves. Like you could see my Calathea orbifola leaf just relax and open up when I added water! And I keep my room at 60% (the suggested minimum for many high humidity plants).
