Extreme Heat. Yesterday our dwarf lime and lemon trees took a hit in 104° with direct sunlight …. Today another hot day at 109°. So they get the umbrella which I can monitor all day. Does anyone have any other suggestions to help them through a week have. Indoors not an option
I would water 2-3 times a day if possible never wetting the leaves. You have the right idea with the umbrella, that will help prevent sunburn. I try to water in the morning and check them regularly. I live in Texas and so far I have had minimal problems with heat. I Hope this helps! Good luck 🍀

0개 좋아요 Just a follow up. Able to relocate the two trees under one of our old growth citrus ( original orchard tree from 1925 ). Our original location in the side yard had a radiant heat of 125° which was cooking them. Thanks for reaching out. It helped me rethink the problem.
Ugh, I have the same problem! Just about all of my plants are outdoors, and half of them are placed waaay too bright, but I can only provide so much shade. The sun is a bully here in FL.
