Any tips on this monstera? It stopped pushing out bigger fenestrated leaves and in my opinion is looking a big leggy It was very very happy for the longest time and imo still is, I just don’t know why it’s pushing out such small leaves. Maybe time for a trim?

Support, it’s gonna get leggy because it’s reaching for light and trying to find support to climb. Get a moss pole and you’re going to get those larger leaves and less leggy leaves. Also, if there is more than one monstera in the pot I would recommend separating them but i believe it is okay to have 1-2 in the pot. But mainly a moss pole on the back where the Ariel roots are starting (or already) formed. You can also use sticks or many different things as support, not only a moss pole. I would also like to point out that the leaves inside the pot are going in different directions (hence the leggy mess). Most of the leaves need to be facing the same direction, so if you’re going to repot or anything of that sort place them facing the same way.

좋아요 1개something that can help it look more put together and bushier is by making sure the back side of the plants are facing the same direction. right now they’re growing into the pot and a little all over. check out KillThisPlant on youtube! he makes great videos on repotting monsteras.

and yes, you also need support. a moss pole is fine! you can also use something a tad sturdier like a cedar wood (more rot resistant) plank. and you don’t have the added stress of keeping your moss pole moist all the time. personally, i don’t use moss poles since it’s too much work for me lol. i use coco coir and they work perfectly!
좋아요 1개also, do you have a light meter by chance? a monstera needs, at minimum, 400fc for 12 hours a day. if you get it higher over time you’ll get more intense fenestrations.
