   for venus fly traps, and carnivorus plants, Sarracenia Northwest is a great website that has a lot of great info, but ill leave some general care here: they are bog plants, so you want to water with distilled, rain or reverse osmosis, as chemicals and minerals can crisp the leaves. keeping the medium constantly moist is also important, so keep your plant sitting in water. they love light, and require a minimum 6 hrs of direct light. the soil or medium you keep them in should be fertilizer free, as they get their nutrients from the bugs they eat. feed one trap per plant once a month, any LIVE INSECT that can fit in the trap will work. each trap can close 4-5 times before dying, so make sure to not intentionally close the traps if you arent feeding. when/if you plant flowers, you can choose to cut it as soon as you see it and help the plant focus on leaves, or you can let it bloom, enjoy the flowers for a bit and then chop it. and thats about it, any more nit-picky info you can find online :) ~ monsteras are less complicated than carnivorous plants, if you have any other tropical foliage they should be pretty easy! bright indirect light, water when at least halfway dry (skewer/chopstick method works well), and once it is old enough, support its vertical growth with a trellis, moss pole, wooden plank, etc. well draining tropical soil can help prevent root rot; 1:1 ratio of potting soil and a soil amendment (perlite, coco chips, vermeculite, etc) good luck and hope this helps!!
