anyone know why my pilea leaves are mushrooming like this instead of flat? She grows a lot but all the leaves look like this? she gets watered according to the plants app & gets southwest window sun. the window has a meshing over it so it’s bright indirect light

Same thing is happening with mine! Some of mine are curling the opposite way too. When I was researching it, I found that it can happen with too much light. I moved my plant to a different spot so we will see if it keeps happening.
Came here to see what the recommendations were…. Cause mine is doing this as well
0개 좋아요In my experience, it’s normal for the leaves to have a little curve inward and outward. However if the lead is deformed or you notice pronounced curves in the stems and leaves your plant could be either A) root bound 2) be getting too much sun or not enough water 3) not having proper humidity (these plants grow in the Chinese rainforest so humidity and light are key) or 4) inconsistent watering- this can stress your plant out especially as a juvenile

0개 좋아요 so definitely seems like a lightning issue. i moved mine to an area with brighter sun & some of the leaves started flattening :)
