This plant - Pearl and Jade Pothos - is new to my office. I probably had a week here before I went out of town for a week. I watered it extra before I went out of town. Now itās all sad! It had some crunchy leaves I cut off. I really have no sunlight. Artificial light mostly. If people across me have their doors open, it might get some light. It is still in the nursery pot inside the ceramic pot. Does it just want more light? Maybe it needed more water?
It depends on what you mean by artificial, if itās a grow light that is set to the right settings I see no reason why the light would be the problem, if itās just normal overhead that my be an issue. Iām not expert but from what I understand our lights do not recreate sun in the same way grow lights do. That coupled with being water a lot and then non at all it could be he is not happy trying to deal with all of that himself. I would check the soil and see, if itās super dry I would give it a good water (but let it drain out of the bottom at least for now since he already had a big watering very recently) if itās still super wet I would check the roots. 0 gillningarNo grow light. Just office lighting. Things I read ahead of time said it could handle low light but now more research says the other. I think Iāll take him home where I can get him light and see if that helps! His soil still feels pretty dry. Iām about to be gone from the office til the new year, with just periodic check-ins to check on the plants, so I think taking him home til the new year is a good idea.
1 gilla I definitely agree, from my experience pothos CAN be low light but most of the time they just donāt thrive like that (especially variegated ones). Hope he bounces back!

š Hello! My pearl and jade loves a grow light. I got these from Amazon. You can put under the pot or stick it into the soil. Built in timer so even if you are away they turn on!
I agree - i think he needs more light. Maybe heās just not an office plant!
1 gilla Yeah I would try something hardier with thick leaves that can store waterā¦ like a rubber plant or ZZ plant. They are more forgiving š
0 gillningarYes! He was an add to the office plants - ZZ plant, snake plant, spider plant, and two aloes. Oh and a normal jade pothos. I possibly have too many for my small desk!
