Hello, has anyone used essential oils on plants and has any advice? Photo just to grab attention but propitiation tips welcome!

    What a wonderful Ficus!!! Great trunk movement, dense canopy, and some aerial roots forming! To answer your question, I don’t really recommend giving oils to a ficus plant… just keep the humidity high by misting it daily. Also make sure to water it as soon as the top layer of soil gets slightly dry. Use a liquid bonsai fertilizer every 2 weeks during the growing season, or use a solid fertilizer once a month during the growing season. Hope this helps! - PorkChop🐽

    I use plant therapy organic essential oils. I’ve used like clove, peppermint, rosemary on the soil for fungus gnats. And I mist all leaves w organic lemon essential oil and water. 16 drops to 16 ounces.

    Thank you for the advice. It’s greatly appreciated as I recently repotted him and have the fear he won’t do as well. I took some cuttings from him so impatiently waiting to see if they root…. Essential oils seem like a mine field in general so don’t want to hurt any of my plants with them. 👌
