I’m in Illinois so the next couple of days we will getting a heat wave. The temps will be in the upper 90°F’s, peak heat index readings >100°F, and high humidity. Would all my plants be ok if I just put them in the garage for those days? Or would it still be too hot for them? Plus they wouldn’t get sunlight unless I open the garage so it shines in but not direct sunlight.
I am in kentucky, also getting hit by the heat wave, and guess what week i chose to move my bonsai to my greenhouse? :/ all of them scorched to near-death except the fukien tea tree, which is just very annoyed. Thankfully they've been recovering with frequent misting and a fan. For yours, start them in indirect light in the garage and keep a close eye on them. If they start to overheat move them further from light and mist them several times a day to help keep temperatures down. If any of them really suffer, you can take those back inside and wait it out
