Wolfen 🐺Yes, just make sure it's not staying too moist, as too moist will cause rot

PlantgirlyJust going to piggyback off this post bc I’m too lazy to make my own! Can you do this to help aerial root get rooted in the soil on monsteras? I try to keep it mainly on the roots

You could wrap aerial roots in moss as well, to aid in nutrient/water uptake, to airlayer, or just to cover them up. Aerials don't need to be covered, they specificallyhave a tough coating. I either train them over to the pot itself, a pole. Or clip them. Ignore how unkempt 😆 🤣 I'm about to prop and repot this albo. But that's the idea.

I am beginning to reconsider this idea. I soaked the moss really well before placing over the soil of 3 of my plants. (Philodendron, Alocasia and Dracaena) it’s only been 3 days but still holding moisture and as you said it may encourage rot. I was just trying to make them look better maybe getting them out of those plastic pots would help with maybe some of that orchid bark as a top layer. Bark may not hold so much moisture.

You could use any type of chunky gravel or glass. Sea-glass. Those would allow some airflow and proper drainage, while looking nice. And not trapping in a ton of moisture. Bark would work as well, itd give some moisture retention, but not as much as moss
