I’m relatively new to taking serious care of plants and am looking for advice on which sort of plants to bottom water, mist, and/or traditional water. I bottom water all my succulents, but not sure what to do for some of my others so for right now just following Planta advice. Any tips/guidelines/websites you’d recommend would be highly appreciated! (Included are photos of a few of my newer plants)
Misting doesn’t really do much for plants. Or so I have read. I pretty much bottom water all of my plants and allow them to drink up what they need also to avoid gnats. Once I switched to bottom watering I never see them. Honestly this app is really great for advice but Paige Tailyn, tanner the planter, and there’s another lady I can’t find her but watching there videos helped me learn a lot.

I top water everything except orchids and anything else prone to crown rot. I also tray water my carnivorous plants. I mist anything 1-2x a day that prefers a humid environment, like alocasia, philodendron, anthurium, etc. I do keep humidifiers, but they don't make much of a dent in summer. The misting is better, and keeps the surrounding humidity up for a few hours at least (what I've observed with the govee hygrometer I have around the house)

I would not mist any misting does not retain humidity if you want that then I would get a humidifier . Pothos and maybe the palm ! I would botom water all of them but all don’t need that much water . I water my spider plants every week ! And pothos ever 2-3 weeks ! I hope this helps
