Two Green Thumbs

I received a crown of thorns today as a gift. I’m really excited but a little intimidated that it has been tagged as difficult. Anyone have any experience with this plant and can offer any advice? What makes it so difficult?

    no experience w/ it, but it does look intimidating…and gnarly and cool. good luck!

    I’ve enjoyed mine. It’s almost always in bloom and has been a relatively care free plant. They want lots of light, but I keep mine out of the hot direct sun of the afternoon. Don’t need a ton of water like most of its ilk. But it can loose leaves if it gets too little water.
