Hey, everyone! So I have a Mother-in-law's tongue named Shoeshine, Shoey for short (my dad named him lol), and am worried about a few of his leaves. I have him sat downstairs on the floor in a plastic pot far from the front door. But there are a few leaves that had to be trimmed down but are now browning at the tips, maybe an inch or two. Should I remove the leaves completely or is there something else I can do?
It’s really easy to over water a these plants. I’ve killed a couple of them that way. You may want to check the roots and the soil for rot. These guys are almost succulents, so drier is usually better.

좋아요 1개 Not necessarily a goner. If any roots look squishy and brown, cut them back. Smell the roots and soil. It should smell like dirt, but if there’s rot it will smell really bad. Imagine vegetables that have been in the fridge too long. After removing bad roots, you can spray the ones that are left with neem oil or hydrogen peroxide, (Look up proper dilution for hydrogen peroxide) and then replant with good chunky soil.
