A recently purchased fiddle leaf fig leaves are curling dry leaves is dropping others. I do realize I just recently moved it. Could that be the only reason it’s dropping leaves and how many leaves will it drop before I should be really really concerned. I had another fiddly fig that I had for several years that I repotted and it died on me. I’m trying to keep this one alive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Oh no poor baby. fiddles don’t like to be bothered too much so perhaps the movement and just being in a new space is shocking. This happened to me when i first got mine and I was so worried about what to do. After I repotted mine, cleaned her leaves, and placed her in a great spot for lighting, she bounced back after a few weeks (maybe even a month time because they take time to adjust sometimes). Maybe yours needs to be placed in a better area for lighting and just needs time to get acclimated if there are no other issues you’ve noticed. Also if you wish to remove the dead/injured leaves, that’s fine but be aware once you remove them, no other leaves will grow in that area (so I’ve heard, plus I’ve seen this with my own baby). I make sure to water and fertilize mine when necessary and I rotate her position ever so often so she’s not growing to one side. I also clean dust off her leaves when necessary but other than that I leave her be. Good luck!

0개 좋아요 i’m not too detailed with fertilizers but i use miracle grow all purpose plant food and my plants have been doing well with that. im trying to explore new plant food
