Can anyone help. I have sugar ants all over my plants they don’t seem focused on them yet they’re more trying to get to my dog’s food. But I just don’t want them to harm my plants. What’s a good non/ low pesticidal way to get rid of them. (I have no idea where they are coming from) I am mostly concerned about my hibiscus flowers.
Neem oil is a good way it’s a natural oil and cinnamon on the soil can help with several other pests. Also love the hibiscus, one of my fav plants! I have this same one

The ants will damage your plant and will the cause other pests. It’s important to get rid of them. I put red pepper out to get rid of them but not sure how to deter them from plants
