Is it safe to use neem oil on carnivorous plants? I saw some aphids on my venus fly trap this morning :( Any tips for other pest control products on carnivores welcome :)

Anyone have experience propagating pitcher plants? Iâve had 3 cuttings in water for a couple months now and its not rooting, theres new growth on one of them though and they arenât dying either so i feel like thats good and maybe the other cuttings didnât really take but any advice or clarity would be appreciated!
Are these bumps on my Nepenthes leaf bad or normal? If you Google bumps it usually says edema but theyâre not red or rashy looking. Other things say nectar glands but doesnât have a picture like this. Iâm still trying to figure out what is dry enough to water without accidentally letting it dry out so I might be overwatering it. It just doesnât look like pictures of edema. There are bumps on the older leaves too that I was chalking up to my plant living in a new place and probably not acclimated slow enough. But this is the newest leaf. Iâm also trying to figure out lighting. I panicked that my room was too dark and possibly over lit if with an LED light
Hey yaâll! Iâm getting my first carnivorous plant (nepenthes) in the next few days and Iâm so beyond excited to feed it all the bugs in my apartment đ€Ł Iâve been doing a ton of research and Iâm feeling rather lost in it all. Some people say theyâre super easy and others say itâs the most temperamental plant. I usually buy discount plants so this is the most expensive plant Iâve ever added to my collection and I really donât want to mess this up. My main questions for now: If my pitchers arrive empty should I fill them 1/3 of the way with distilled water? Iâve heard mixed advice on this. Iâd like to get a prettier hanging planter for it as well, is something self watering recommended? I know they like a lot of water but can get root rot so I wasnât sure if a self watering planter or one of those watering globes in a traditional planter would be better. My apartment isnât very humid but I was thinking of hanging the plant over my fish tank (not in the water though), would that be enough humidity or should I look into a humidifier? Sorry for the long post but Iâd appreciate any advice!
Hi guys! Iâm absolutely terrible at keeping plants of all kinds alive! However! I want to change that! Iâd like a carnivorous plant as I already have insect farms I can use to feed them! What type of plant should I try?
Hi, Iâm interested in getting some carnivorous plants and am wondering what are some good ones to start with and like the care they need and a good place to get them.
I just got a baby sarracenia as an impulse buy (it was on sale!) and I donât know what to do now that I know they are supposed to go dormant. Do I throw it in the fridge? Do I blast it with light? Do I pop it on a chilly windowsill and let it decide? Iâm generally good with plants, but Iâve never had the skill to gauge dormancy. (Ps Iâm getting distilled water for it tomorrow and I have a tray)
Question please. Hope everyone is well this New Yearâs. Have already identified three babies but then this giant thing that grows about three or 4 inches a day (no jokes) looks like an eye is going to open up. I noticed a tiny ball at the base of my plant four days ago and now it is taller than the whole plant. Is this gonna be a new pitcher? First pic is of two tiny babies. Second is the ball. Third is the ball starting only four days ago! Grew hella fast! Thank you for any and all answers. I just finished pulling three tiny mushrooms out of the medium as well as some of that directly under and around to get rid of any spores. Any thoughts on this?
Iâm so excited!! đ All 3 of my cuttings are rooted and showing growth points! My beautiful Alata lives on đ„° and itâs such a relief, I was so worried. She was murdered by thrips đ±
I just received a vft, pitcher plant and a sundew. The vft and sundew arrived in tiny terrariums. They are in windows that are south facing. Now what do I do?! lol Do I leave them as they are?
My grandma gave me him yesterday, Iâve watered but still a bit droopy should I try repotting
We just got him as a gift yesterday. He came in the mail. He is looking a bit droopy.
I have a ping, sundew, VFT, and nepenthes are 2-3 wide. Can you show me your beginner friendly set ups? I am so lost . The picture below is before they are all separated now but not in the best condition for long term survival.
2 flowers : )
This is my first vtf and it came bare root last Friday. My biggest questionâŠis this in dormancy or tiny? I put it in a 2.7â pot with sphagnum. I tested a trap and it closed. Advice and opinions please đ

First is a Venus fly trap, it looks so pitiful, is this normal?? Not a single new trap since I got it. Second is a purple pitcher, no new pitchers either :(
My mystery plant from Carnivero is a flytrap! đ€©
My new yearâs resolution is to stop buying plants! So I had to get one more!!! And I now have a Nepenthes Mimiâs kiss from Carnivero đđ€©đ *sheâs in a bag for acclimation
I need some help with my pinguicula agnata. It was in an accident where it dropped to the ground and a big leaf fell off sadly, then more fell off. Itâs stopped dropping leaves (for now) but the big leaves arenât producing any glue. Iâm also confused if my plant should be flowering (2) flower buds in the middle of the winter? Some of its leaves were rotting so I had to take them out as well. The leaves are pretty droopy compared to when I got it.
