Haha, I’ve been growing these sundews for a few months now, and they’ve gotten so big! I call it my “sundew garden.” And now my nepenthes vetchii is getting a HUGE leaf!

Hey everyone! Yesterday I got my first Venus fly trap and I've watched some videos and read a few articles but I want some opinions and advice from others with more experience. I am planning on getting a bigger lightly coloured plastic pot with good drainage in a few days and I have rinsed the current soil which is what I was told to do by an expert grower online. I've heard of the downtime it has during the winter and I'm still confused about that. I've fed it a spider as well. Ive heard that they need lots of light so it's been under a grow light all day. 3 of the mouths are red on the inside, which is a good sign, while some are just green. Based off of the photos, let me know if there's anything you think I should do or if anything is wrong.

Im very excited. As an early christmas gift my boyfriend got me a butterwort from rainbow carnivorous plants labeled Pinguicula "razzberry blonde" sent directly to me in the mail and its so cute!! Im losing one bottom leaf but shes so healthy for being sent in the mail and is adapting really well with new ones :)))

Is it typical for nepenthes to drop pitchers this time of year or is my nepenthes st gaya unhappy about something? He has been under grow lights since September and has been thriving until about 1-2 weeks ago, in which time he's started to drop 3 pitchers. The first one is totally black, the second one has this crazy line of healthy tissue at the bottom, and today I noticed a third pitcher starting to brown. These are not the oldest pitchers, there are at least 2-3 older pitchers that are still healthy. My humidity has been in the 30-40%s for the past month but is 50%+ most of the year. I haven't checked the roots but i suspect this plant might be getting rootbound so maybe it needs a repot, but not sure if that leads to pitcher death. There are also multiple basal shoots growing like crazy so maybe the mother plant is dying off to support them...? Any insight is appreciated as i have never had this issue before!
