I just bought these trumpet pitchers and wanted to know if anyone knew the best way to care for them? Also, should I be concerned about the browning tips? Thanks so much ^^^^

•Just got an Venus flytrap, I believe it’s the werewolf variant if my id is correct. •Believe it or not he was the healthiest of the few there. •Can I have some tips and advice how to get him back in the swing of things? •Also it says not to use fertilizer on it, but I water using a naturally fertilized water from my aquariums I keep. Is this ok or??? Ik I have heard use r/o or rainwater but I don’t have r/o and idk how much rain water is in my barrel that my family uses on the outdoor plants.

I JUST got this guy from the store… but he looks a little sad. I’m not really sure the best way to care for him. Any advice? He is under a grow light.

I’ve kept pitchers for a number of years but I’m finally branching out into other varieties! Got 3 itty pings from an Etsy seller, and this one is my new favorite. <3 Supposedly they’re more difficult than pitchers, so I’m hoping I manage to keep them all healthy. They got here just over a week ago and no major negative changes yet, so I’m feeling positive!

Hey there. I’m so glad there’s a place to go for help with my plants. My daughter is a plant addict and most of her plants end up with me because she flies private jets and is never home. I’ve already killed a huge, beautiful Monstera. I’d like to try to educate myself to save the rest of my crew. My first question is I have a pitcher plant and would like to know the best pot to keep it in. Currently I am trying to revive it from the dead.

My Venus fly trap has been turning black and getting holes on the mouths of it. Can anyone please help me?

Help meeeeee!!!!! My Sarracenia pitcher plant is sooooo droopy! I need help or I will cry- I don’t know why this is happening! It did this in a course of 4 hours! Was fine when we left but four hours later, it’s base had turned brown and it began to droop! What am I doing wrong?

I got this a few days ago since a friend told me it could help with gnats (it’s definitely caught a few since I brought it home). I’ve done a bit of research and I know they like lots of light and distilled water but other than that I’m so lost and really don’t want to kill it!! I’ve been keeping it in a little bit of water as i saw they don’t like to dry out, but I also saw somewhere to let them dry just a bit every so often? I don’t know. Can anyone give me some tips to give it a happy home :) watering (schedule?) and soil type would help tons!

I got another little Venus fly trap. So cute🥺🥺 I know some about Venus fly traps from recent traps but I made need to be reminded. Any tips for care? I also have a question I know Venus fly traps naturally live in humid wet places and to water often. I didn’t mist with my other traps but would it help to mist the plant?

Any carnivorous plant advice would be very helpful! I got my first babies, one Venus fly trap that’s fairly okay, and two dormant carnivorous plants that I’m growing from a kit. I know that kits and stuff like that usually have wrong info, and I’ve done a ton of research so I know some things. My main question is what media to use. Right now the Flytrap is in entirely sphagnum moss, and the dormant plants are in peat moss with some wood fiber mixed in, according to the kit. Will that work, or do I need to make a perlite and peat moss mixture? I don’t have perlite right now, so I just did what I could. I also am not sure about water amount/frequency.

Hey everyone! So.. I bought a pitcher plant for myself and my boss. Apparently my death thumb is far less potent than hers - mine is thriving (Lil Dicki) and hers well, looks like it needs a pill(5 guys) I’m pretty sure she didn’t water it before the weekend. Do you think it’s done for or is there hope for revival?

Hey there! I bought this Nepenthes 6 days ago & repotted her 3 days ago using a carnivorous plant mixture. I use distilled water always. I’m new-ish to these types of plants and accidentally repotted her into a terracotta pot without knowing they aren’t supposed to be… should I wait to repot her again to a plastic pot? How detrimental is terracotta? I don’t want her to stress out with a recent potting change. Thanks!

Hello! This is my Sarracenia, Terry. He is growing so fast, but I have one quick question. I am sort of new, but knowledgeable, about carnivorous plants! I have never grown them before, and this is my first Pitcher Plant. I don’t really know how to describe this- but his stem is “hollow” or “dented” on one side, and the other side sort of looks big. ??? The pictures describe more than words 😂 Just wondering if this is an issue- not sure how the growing process of these little guys are.

My Venus fly traps aren’t doing as well. I think I needed to clean out their water pan . It was disgusting.

Does anyone have a good source for carnivorous plants? I’m super interested but haven’t gotten one yet. Ideally, it would be online. Thanks!
