Hi quick question how do I tell if my Venus flytrap has begun itâs dormant period or if itâs just got dead leaves
New dionaea muscipula! Meet Perry! đȘ°đȘ°
Hereâs Sunny with her 3 stems of flowers
My happy sundew named Sunny, she has 3 flowering stems now but I donât have a good picture of it yet
Bog update! The flytrap âdiedâ and I removed it before I realized my error đ. The bog really breeds those fungus gnats, so I added a bug catcher for any they canât snag. Just added some Pinguicula for the first time. I placed them on top of the sphagnum. Hoping they take off with the rest of the swamp.
Help what should I do with these yellow leaves
What is this long stem growing from my VFT? Iâm trying to save her!đ«
Anyone had ping leaves with weird notches in them? Iâm wondering if itâs because they developed when flower stalks were coming up?
Hey all! I have this VFT that Iâve had for a month and a half to two months now. They look a little crowded? Idk if they prefer this setting or if I should consider repotting?
in an attempt to save twinky (my nepenthes): the worldâs jankiest terrarium. hopefully the opening provides enough airflow đ
Any suggestions on what to do with yellow leaves and how to prevent it from occurring again
hello! little update: two of my pitchers have been browning for some time now, im not sure if itâs sun burn or if they reached the end of their cycle but i was wondering if i should cut them off to have the plant focus itâs energy on growing the other 4 new pitchers coming in?? also any tips on growing new big healthy pitchers are appreciated! thanks in advance
I got my second Venus fly trap today I love him already
Three different carnivores, one shot.
How do you guys care for your pings? Do they grow fast for you guys or not really? Just wanna know how to better take care of mine, any info would be appreciated đđ
I was so excited when I saw my local nursery had received these large Nepenthes! I had to bring one home. Iâve never seen a large one IRL so Iâm very happy to have this beauty added to my collection.
New to the carnivorous plant corner. I think I have two different types of pitcher plants. I have seen them on natgeo nature documentaries various times and found them at my local farmers market. The only thing I have to figure out is the soil for these beauties. I donât know if I should mix my own and what type of soil they sell for carnivorous plants?
Greetings carnivorous plant people! What type of potting media would you recommend for a pitcher plant and do you know of a good place to get some? Or should I try mixing my own? Thanks in advance!
