Hi there, folks, I rescued a very sorry looking flytrap from B&Q today. Hopefully I can give it a chance. Do you think I should snip off the leaves that are partially closed? There are some growing so I'm hoping it will be replenished. I'm in the UK so luckily there's no shortage of rain water for me to collect, but it's getting dark here and I don't have a grow light. What should I do regarding it's winter dormancy?
Update on my my pitcher! Giving my pitcher a lot of light and using freeze-dried bloodworms to feed. Can really see in the difference of the traps that grew before/after i got it
Got a Venus fly trap from Trader Joeâs, any tips on how to give it a long happy life âșïž. Iâm building the terrain so far I got a glass bowl, moss, and carnivorous plant soil.
Rescued this baby from Trader Joeâs where she was not doing well!!! Already looking better, but would appreciate any tips. Iâve already repotted her and have her under a grow light now.

I have had this pitcher plant for about a month. It has grown a lot and toppled over to one side. I was rotating it about once a week, but now with all the growth on one side should I keep that side facing the more direct sunlight. Should it be trellised?

Starting freaking out yesterday thinking my Nepenthes St Gaya had scale. After looking closely I realized it's just EFN. This plant has been putting out beautiful pitchers like crazy and is quickly becoming a favorite in my collection, if it had a pest infestation I'd be inconsolable!

I need help with my fly trap, its getting colder where I live (6a) and i dont know if i should bring it inside with a grow light or if i should put it in the fridge like ive seen other people do it for winter.
Need some identification help. I just bought this pinguicula, but I donât know what type it is. I intend to repot it, but Iâm seeing different recommendations based on whether the species is temperate or tropical. And any recommendations for soil and such would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
hey yâall! i got a venus fly trap yesterday and i set it on my window seal, but im in a basement-ish area with a few plants outside my window so there isnât a ton of sun coming in. should i get a grow lamp for my fly trap to make it happier? also, does anyone have any recommendations for getting it more bugs if there arenât a ton roaming around my house?
