I JUST got a Bloody Mary Pitcher plant. I know it only likes lime free water (rain, distilled, etc) and it likes high humidity. So my question is do I also have to use distilled water in my humidifier? I get I should (less build up) but I go through a gallon of water daily per each humidifier and that’s $$$$. Just wanting to see how necessary it is. #SingleMomBudget
I use a little bottle of Seachem Prime Conditioner in my anthuriums plants water and humidifier, a zero water pitcher for my C.plants, and I haven’t noticed any effects on my C.plants for the past two years! I have all of my plants in one of the plastic Lowe’s greenhouse and I get most of my humidity from just watering my plants in general.
The zero water pitchers are 20-40$ at target and the filters last a while, and they’re about 20$ per filter. The water conditioner is at petco/smart for about 5$ and you only use a drop per whatever gallon. Happy planting!

I use a zero water pitcher for my plants too LOL and then I add a little clean kelp to add some nutrients back in 💪😉🙌 very spoiled plant babies and I have a bottle of distilled water for my Venus flytrap but I do have a question cuz Google said I'm supposed to leave my Venus flytrap sitting in a tray of water constantly
2개 좋아요 Venus fly traps originate from the Carolinas in the USA and go through a winter dormancy. The locations they come from are bogs, nutrient poor and drops very low in temperature. VFT enjoy very wet substrates and don’t like drying out at all. I’d say you should put it in a little tray, but don’t drown the plant in water. Come winter time they also need to be put into conditions similar to winter in their home states. I killed all of mine, but my friend who is very successful with them will have them potted in spaghnum moss in Oct.-Nov, placed in a plastic baggie and put in the fridge until spring time.
