Rescued this baby from Trader Joe’s where she was not doing well!!! Already looking better, but would appreciate any tips. I’ve already repotted her and have her under a grow light now.

Dave_opuntiafaceLooks amazing. No brown tips or dessicated black traps. Note if you get any bloom, cut it off - it uses up all the plant's energy, but it feels like a miracle when it happens.

If not already, make sure it has plenty of Perlite. My instructions, though, are based on what everyone here told me to do the one time I took this plunge.

What I found online says it’s best to water from the bottom (i.e. put it in a dish with like an inch of distilled water in it and then let the soil just soak up the water). That’s working well for me!

I would definitely repot it with the correct material (I am using a mix with sphagnum moss and perlite) - what TJs has them planted in is definitely not correct/ideal
