   Preferably place outside, keep outside all year if you live in hardiness zone 7 or above. Don’t worry about frost. If you live somewhere colder, put in garage, it doesn’t need light during the winter. Keep it in your garage from nov-march. Water with only distilled water or reverse osmosis. Tap water has way too many minerals, also never fertilize, the insects it catches will do that. If you place it outside, you won’t need to feed it, if you place it inside, feed it once a month. The insects shouldn’t be bigger than the trap. Never feed human food. Place in 7-9 hours of direct sunlight. Keep in a tray of water about a 3rd of the way up, let it soak up till it’s empty, wait a day and fill it again. Only use carnivorous plant mix or sphagnum moss. Also these plants can look dead but be full alive, especially during dormancy. These plants aren’t the best for beginners but once you get the hang of it, it becomes light work. They need to stay wet as they come from bogs and swamps. I know this may have been an overwhelming message.

   Had a flytrap like that for years, love them so much! I kept it under a grow light for about 8h a day, and watered with distilled water:)
