hey y’all! i got a venus fly trap yesterday and i set it on my window seal, but im in a basement-ish area with a few plants outside my window so there isn’t a ton of sun coming in. should i get a grow lamp for my fly trap to make it happier? also, does anyone have any recommendations for getting it more bugs if there aren’t a ton roaming around my house?
I would definitely get a grow light. They don’t need a ton of bugs to do well, so I would monitor and see what it’s able to catch on its own before you get too worried. I have a grow light on my Venus fly traps that I have timed at night so anything in my house tends to flock to that plant when all the other lights are off. It’s worked out well for me! Don’t forget, only rain or distilled water. Best wishes 🪰
