Recently gotten the little guy from Lowe’s and repotted them since they were in a jar with next to 0 air flow. Now it’s living in a ceramic bowl with a bunch of moss. I’m new to carnivorous plants, how quickly do they grow? Is it doing good?
I grabbed one from those lowes kits a few weeks ago and gently removed it from that glass prison and replanted last week. So far so good but its my first pitcher. No wilting or shock. 🤞🤞for both of us
いいね 1件 Mines been free for about 4 days now. I used some wooden sticks to like chopsticks it free so I could just kinda gently dump it out. It seems happy. Only had one black spot at the end of a leaf I trimmed off. It should feed good with all the gnats from my other plants.

I bought this as a two for one deal at Lowe’s in late mid April. It just said it came with a pitcher plant and a VFT. I think they were dormant in the store. I took home the two rhizomes and planted them. They started growing pretty quickly. I eventually bought a 40w grow light and it’s a game changer.
Oh wow. Mine lives under a grow light and it is already growing some. It had all green baby pinchers when I brought it home with only one that had some pink and they are starting to pink up!
Oh wow that’s beautiful! I bought a box vft and have spent considerable time on outside placement. This North Texas heat is scorching the leaves so I’m finally resigned to a grow light. Your post gives me renewed hope.
Hang in there! These guys love the 40w Sansi bulbs. The sundew and ping don’t like it as close. One or two of these are enough for a couple of plants. I was blasting my VFT and Purperea with all 4 at once for 14 hours a day. I’ve backed them off due to the other two.
Your soil looks super dry. Do you use the water tray method?
