Hiya! Im fairly new to carnivorous plants. I have a venus fly trap that is absolutely thriving and has a few flower stems about to pop. I've just noticed this in the soil and wondering if any clues what it could be and if I need to remove it from the pot. This is still in nursery pot and ive had for about 6months or more
Pretty sure it's just moss. I wouldn't remove it as it helps with moisture retention. Unless it really bothers you but it won't hurt anything.

1 mi piaceYes, this looks like moss. My suuuper amateur guess is star moss. Moss coverage is super handy for keeping the soil moist, and I think it gives the pot such a nice look to be so green.
