Hi, I bought a Venus flytrap today and it’s pretty cool. I trimmed most of the leaves because They were black. It was the only one alive, but now I have it set up to thrive.😊 Dose Anyone have pro tips?

    traps can only open and close so many times before the trap dies. it's totally normal. closing traps takes a surprising amount of energy from the plant, so be careful not to accidentally trigger them. they only really need bugs (and ONLY bugs, i've seen too many people kill their vft by feeding it beef, it's ridiculous) once a month while growing, if that. only feed one or two traps at a time. yours is adorable!

    They love rain/distilled water. Tap water sometimes has too many minerals, etc in it
