    Im not an expert but it would make sense to remove them so the plant spends energy making new ones instead of going to the fried pitcher

    As long as the pitcher is fully dried up like that you’re good to cut it off. If it only partially starts browning wait until it fully dries up so it can finish digesting whatever is in there for the nutrients. You can leave the rest of the leaf on if you like as long as it isn’t brown as well, since it’ll still be functional for photosynthesis.
