I noticed all of my Planta pings care schedules have essentially gone rogue. No misting, no watering, no attention for a month or a year? Nothing about that is right. Anyone else dealing with this drastic care switch? I haven’t missed any tasks and haven’t updated any of their data. Just wanted to check here first before reaching out to Planta.
They came out with a new light amount update that seemed to make all my schedules funky until I fixed it. Maybe that might be it??
0개 좋아요 I checked all my settings to make sure nothing was reset. I know updates happen behind the scenes on apps, and if they’re rolling out new features, sometimes things can accidentally reset or become offset. But everything is as it was when I set them up originally. I changed the nicknames on my plants, but I did that on nearly all my plants on the same day, and none of them have been affected.
0개 좋아요 Honestly it could be that’s it’s busy counting your liquid fertilizer as waterings and then your “watering” tasks are just plain regular waterings. As for the misting, since we are coming out of winter into spring, where theres more humidity in the air, maybe it’s not as needed? Repotting kinda speaks for itself. No plant LOVES getting repotted multiple times a year.
0개 좋아요 It shouldn’t be considering the fertilizer is a separate task from watering, but that’s entirely possible. I’ve only had this app for several weeks, so I don’t know if the same thing happened to people with pings last year. That would be interesting feedback. Spot on with repotting. I just repotted these right around the same time that I started using the app, and they have plenty of space. They won’t need repotting for a long while.

The reason is that pinguicula have a winter succulent stage they go into so they don’t need much water
0개 좋아요 That would make sense, but the settings now have me watering and misting them significantly less often than when I did during the winter months. It’s almost like the app has the spring and winter settings backwards.

0개 좋아요 Update - I watered and misted all three pings, marked the tasks as completed early due to them being dry, and it looks like it reactivated the correct schedules (next watering/misting showing due in 3-4 days). I’m going to keep an eye on this issue though.
