      Thank you so much! it’s mostly baby plants and rescues that make up my collection so I’m very proud of any successes :D

      It’s been going good and I am amazed at the difference between each cutting’s pitchers and I’m wondering how that works? 🧐 😁 The one with the wider rim and deeper red is from the middle section of the original vine. The smaller one is producing green bottoms and the larger top cutting is making all the same color 🤪

      You probably know this but nepenthes put out different pitchers at different stages of growth, there are what are called “lower pitchers” which are the first pitchers on the plant, and uppers start to arrive after the plant matures and begins to vine. Sometimes they can even face an “inbetween” or intermediate pitcher style as well. Depending on the age of the plant and where the cuttings were taken it’s possible to experience this type of variable in pitcher shape. However! If it’s just something like color it’s more than likely just a matter of light exposure. I do happen to have a ventrata that has pitchers that look just like those all on the same plant, it’s not in the case though currently it’s trying to consume my entire kitchen 😂

    I was thinking because it’s not a hybrid too. It’s fascinating to watch! I think the top cutting is getting ready to vine because it’s growing so much faster than the others.

    Hi there, I know this is an old post but I can see you’re a carnivorous plant whisperer :) I noticed that all your plants here are in pots with drainage. Do you keep any in no-drainage pots? And do you tend to plant in sphagnum or a sphagnum mixed substrate with perlite/other amendments for pings and drosera? My collection currently consists of various drosera, pings, sarracenia, utriculata and VFTs in sphagnum pots with no drainage. What I’m seeing is that the pings and drosera seem unhappy with that setup and I’d like to change their substrate but love some advice from someone with more experience :)
