Does this look like a flower bud in the center to anyone? I thought it was perlite at first until I touched it. My eyes aren’t the best so I’d love some input 😁

    Yeah no I see what you’re talking about it does look like a flower but usually they grow a long stalk before flowering- the flower does look like that though that shape and that color. Maybe the flower stalk got caught up somehow. Usually I remove flowers since I’m not interested in making seeds and they just a ton of energy away from traps. If you could get close enough to confirm that’s a stalk and and bit of flower I would gently try to remove both. It’s super healthy though so not surprised at all it’s flowering so early in the season. You’re becoming the carnivorous queen! 😂💙

      Thank you! I’m surprised it’s getting ready to bloom too. It has been unusually warm here so maybe that has something to do with it? I can see tiny new traps forming on most of my plants now and they are catching all the insects they need. It looks like a stem getting ready to roll out and a tiny bud. This happened before and I picked it off thinking it was perlite. I agree that I would prefer to keep the plant growing before it flowers. I might try to remove it with some tweezers today.

    Yeah no the more I look the more it looks like a folded up flower stalk hmmm not bad to just leave it if you can’t extract it easily
