Tips on caring for this sarracenia flava? New to gardening and this is my first carnivorous plant! I’ve been watering with rain water and it’s planted in 1:1 spaghum peat moss and perlite in a 6 in plastic container.

That's a great choice of plant! I love sarracenias. While I'm definitely not an expert on sarracenias personally I keep mine sitting in trays of an inch or so of water (refilling when dry) and full sun (if your plant is used to lower light conditions I recommend slowly giving it more daily sun exposure every few days over a few weeks to decrease the risk of stressing the leaves). Rain water should (in most cases) be perfect, I also use rain water. 1:1 peat and perlite also sounds correct, as long as the pots have drainage but it looks like they do. If the guy stays outside, I personally don't recommend feeding him because he should be fine on his own, but if you feed him make sure to research beforehand (no human foods). It sounds like you got the rain water and soil down but yes, no nutrients in soil that will burn roots. I hope this helps!
