Soooo…… I have a cute VFT terrarium and we had a light issue this last month. But I-just today-moved them to a window and grow light. They are heathy, I think, otherwise. Just the traps got really small and some leaves don’t even have traps. If there any coming back from this? They are very important to me so any tips\feedback will be greatly appreciated!
Leafs should have traps when growing always, even since just popping out of the ground. The traps are actually the leafs, the other part is the stem, so I don’t know what’s going on there. Otherwise it looks like they are just in need of better light, I’d say give it some time and see what happens. If it’s a normal Venus fly trap (not a cultivar) you will know it’s getting enough light when the traps start turning pink during summer, spring, and early fall. Make sure to check for root rot and crown rot as terrariums can be more risky for that since you can’t bottom water. They should be able to recover. Despite everything everyone says they are pretty fast growers so they are able to come back pretty well. Good luck!
