Evening, my Dionaea muscipula (Venus fly trap) has white bits in the soil that seems to be mould. I’ve only recently bought it and when I bought it, I was charged very little as it was severely dehydrated in the garden centre. I was planning on repotting soon but hoping to revive it a bit more so it’s stronger for the transfer. The pot it came in has drainage holes with the roots poking out the holes into another pot. I’ve read before that this is for putting water in the outer pot for the roots to drink from rather than the soil so this is what I’ve done over the last week or two. Is this correct? Should I repot now and change soil? Is there any way to treat the mould? Thank you!
