Got a Venus fly trap today and would love any tips! I’ve only had luck with pings as far as carnivorous plants go, and have killed a few in the past. I’ve got it in long fiber sphagnum moss and perlite/pumice, watering with distilled. It’s currently in my growth chamber under a humidity dome for acclimation. I did notice the leaves were a bit wonky, but I think it’s due to some root rot it had before I moved it into the new moss.
They like wet roots.
좋아요 1개Keep and eye out for mold. Did it catch a lot of bugs? I noticed most of the traps are closed.
좋아요 1개 Sorry for the late reply! It got jostled during repotting/transport and a good number of the traps closed. Most of them have opened back up, only 2-3 are still closed
0개 좋아요 I noticed that the insides of them have turned like way deeper red as well after opening back up when they were pale before hand. I wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad sign
