Hey all! It's getting to be that time of year, and I was wondering if I could get a positive id on my sundew and my pitcher plant so I can know if they need to go into dormancy with my flytrap! I'm fairly sure the pitcher plant needs to (and is maybe starting to already), mostly just double checking for peace of mind, but I'm not sure if I have a temperate sundew or not. It was just labeled 'carnivorous plant' at the store 😅

    Your pitcher plant shouldn’t be starting dormancy this early but it should be fine if it does. Your sundew is a cape sundew which doesn’t have dormancy because it is a subtropical plant.

      Awesome, thanks! I wasn't sure if the pitcher was or not since several of the pitchers are beginning to turn brown at once. I suppose they could just be old, most of them were there when I bought the plant.
