S.O.S 😭 My first carnivorous plant. I discovered a little late that I should be watering it with distilled water and let it get more sun.🥴 Carnivorous parents, does it still have a chance to survive? What should I do?

    I would take it out of the plastic tube, flush it thoroughly with distilled or RO water, put it in the sunniest spot you have, put it in a dish of water and let it rest. Water well each day and with any luck, some green will remain. You can snip out the blackened dead parts. If it doesn’t survive, welcome to the club, go buy another one!! 👍🏻😁

    And another little random fact I was reading (because I just got one of these this week as well) is that it takes a lot of energy for the plant to snap closed and if there’s no meal in there, it’s a waste of energy, so try not to trigger the traps. 😊

    As tim said, take it out of the plastic and get it in a tray of water after flushing it with distilled. Mine always loved rain water, so if you can I would start collecting it. They thrive outside in most climates as well.
