My drosera, Squidward, had been flowering. They are so pretty. I noticed that each day a new flower opens and then dies, and that they are opening right down the row. Is that how they normally bloom? Also, I teach at an elementary school and was planning to keep a few pinguiculas in my classroom. I was also thinking of offering to bring in my other carnivorous plants to offer to show them to some of other classes (especially the younger grades) if any teachers wanted to bring them. Do you think younger kids would be interested in seeing them? I have a small Pitcher plant, droseras and pinguiculas. I thought I could show them to the classes and explain how they can catch bugs. The pitcher plant currently has a fly in each pitcher they might be interested in seeing. I was considering getting a Venus fly trap if classes were interested as they might be the most exciting for kids to see.
