I am growing a Venus flytrap and the flower has gotten really tall. I saw some things saying I should cut it off. Should I?

I cut mine off as it just takes up energy from the plant - the flower doesn’t really give it anything

I don’t solely because in the wild no one does that and I also leave the black pitchers on too. Every time you cut a plant it stresses them and exposes them to get an infection.
