Hello! I just purchased my first two carnivorous plants today šŸ˜Š what are the best recommendations for soil? I donā€™t know how soon these should be repotted but just want to be prepared

    You should put both of them (in the pots theyā€™re in) on that tray you have pictured, and then fill the tray with distilled/RO/rain water. They probably donā€™t need to be repotted until you notice it being root bound or crowded. I keep mine in 100% sphagnum long strain with rain/distilled water to soak up into the moss. They like the heat and a lot of light so you want to slowly acclimate them to living outside in the summers if possible. They grow best when the roots are hot, I believe the range is around 80-95Ā°f but they canā€™t go from living inside directly to full sun full heat

    I do have them both sitting in distilled water like they had at the store. Iā€™d like to keep them inside if possible. Okay so I donā€™t really need to worry about repotting anytime soon

    I use bog boss soil from Amazon for my carnivorous plants

    Just like the others have said, no rush to repot them. If you have pots or terrariums that you want to put them in, just let them settle into their new environment at least 2ā€“3 days before you repot them. I use Bog Boss from Amazon and sphagnum moss. Works for all my carnivorous plants.
