Hey all! How do you know when a VFT is ready to eat a fly? I know they don’t need food often, but don’t want to underfeed him either. And how do you catch flies?? 😂😂

    My advice would be to feed your fly trap 3-5 days after fly trap digests the last fly to feed another :)

    They really don't have to eat often, and by looking at your plant it needs more sunlight, they are stretching out looking for sufficient light

    You can feed a vft any bug not just flies. Also fun fact, vft can survive of just sunlight and water. Best of luck!

    Insects or Flies are really just like their own way of fertilizing themselves because the don’t take in nutrients or minerals through water. They seem to need more sun/light because they’re a bit too green, at least on the back right side of the plant, and they’re not red on the inside!
