Anyone have experience propagating pitcher plants? I’ve had 3 cuttings in water for a couple months now and its not rooting, theres new growth on one of them though and they aren’t dying either so i feel like thats good and maybe the other cuttings didn’t really take but any advice or clarity would be appreciated!

    Nepenthes do not prop well in water. I’ve never ever heard of someone having success with it. Please move it to long fiber spagnum moss ASAP. If it’s a basal cutting, add pearlite to the spag. If it’s a top cut, plain spag is fine. Remember not to use tap water or let it dry out. Usually I do not advocate for misting but it’s a good idea to mist cuttings because they can take water in through their leaves.

    You may remove the black tendril to the leaf, it will not pitcher. Also the growth point is completely submerged in water when you move it to spagnum keep it above the medium.
