Question please. Hope everyone is well this New Year’s. Have already identified three babies but then this giant thing that grows about three or 4 inches a day (no jokes) looks like an eye is going to open up. I noticed a tiny ball at the base of my plant four days ago and now it is taller than the whole plant. Is this gonna be a new pitcher? First pic is of two tiny babies. Second is the ball. Third is the ball starting only four days ago! Grew hella fast! Thank you for any and all answers. I just finished pulling three tiny mushrooms out of the medium as well as some of that directly under and around to get rid of any spores. Any thoughts on this?

What zone are you located? It’s uncommon to keep sarracenia as houseplants, as they require a dormancy period to live long and healthy. Mine are all dormant right now but yours is very very not dormant-that ball is a flower, your plant is going to bloom so I assume you have it under some pretty heavy lights which is a good sign for it’s overall health. Do you keep them standing in about 3/4 inch of water?

Haha sweet. Thank you 🙏🏼 ☺️ Yes, it’s standing in water, and in a self watering planter with a 4:1 mix of New Zealand long Spagna, Moss, and perlite. With heavy lights. I’ve had her for about six years and never had her go dormant yet, very, very, healthy but this is the first time she’s flowered. So will I be able to get seeds or not unless the flowers pollinated, correct? Because I am also growing 6 different strains of Sundew (including an Albino Cape that is extremely rare, pure white plant, but the hairs are still fluorescent, pink) and Bladderworts. Would be nice to start some new Pitchers as well. Thank you so much for your response and happy new year sweets🪴❤️🙏🏼
