New to Nepenthes

Do Nepenthes x ventrata go dormant indoors on a grow light? Mine seems to be growing a ton of new pitchers. I water lightly every day and it gets probably 4-6 hours of full sun. It seems to like this and doesn’t seem to be going dormant like people say they do.

I just got the same plant and it’s also under a grow light. It seems to be growing?! Maybe if you keep your house warm they don’t need to go dormant. No idea tho, never had one of these.

This is what I have heard but I’ve also heard the opposite. I guess if it’s growing, no need to keep it from doing that 🤷‍♀️

They need 8 hrs bright light 6 hrs indirect, humidity above 50, and temp never dropping below 60 to thrive.

They will not go dormant in the proper light, they do not need to. Like Rex said they will slow down. Make sure your humidity is above 50 if you want your pitchers to live. In the image on the right-that’s not enough light and they might go dormant like that. It would be much better to give them bright light for at least 8hrs a day, indirect for 6.
