Bugeater_gardens from instagram is super cheap, big, and healthy. Rainbow carnivorous plants (go to their direct site not Etsy because Etsy has an up charge) is good too, and they sell baggies of soil, but the pings can be pretty pricey around 30$. As far as care goes, if you want the pink color, they’ll need to be in bright lighting. I’ve got mine a couple feet back from a southern facing window plus with a couple yescom 225 grow lights overhead. I find that without the grow lights, in my environment, the pink disappears. Water- only use distilled, reverse osmosis, or rain water. Put the pot in a tray, add an inch of water, once the water is gone wait a day, add more water, repeat. Super easy and no guess work like regular plants! When I started out I would let them dry out a few days between waterings, and a bunch of them went into their succulent non carnivorous leaf form. So if you want them to keep eating bugs don’t do that 😅

Substrate- pings will grow in a variety of mediums. Some people grow them straight off a wet lava rock. For me, I mix lava rocks, pumice, mvp turface, perlite, vermiculite, and carnivorous-safe peat. I prefer a less organic mix since I’m paranoid about rot.
