why could the new growth be browning? i lost its bubbles because i moved it to far away from the window i’m pretty sure so i don’t think it’s burnt?

i also think i need to repot it soon. the roots seem to be coming out from the bottom but i’m worried i’d be repotting it pre maturely. i’ve only had it for about a month. and if so what kind of soil should i use?

Carnivorous plants need high light so that may be the issue
3 LikesCheck and if it’s root-bound or almost root-bound repot it. They need lots of light so probably put it back near the window. Do you use rain or distilled water? You can’t use tap water.
2 Likeswould a grow light work as well? i am using distilled water

Yes grow lights would work, just make sure it’s close to the light

Grow lights are good but carnivores typically need something stronger than the normal little gooseneck grow lights. Highly recommend the white yescom 225s. I keep my plants about two feet under them and they love it.
0 LikesI’m pretty sure it’s from too much water. I had that same issue a few weeks ago. I repotted with some dry soil and let it sit a couple days before watering. It’s doing much better now. When the light changes it will need the watering changed too. I tried grow lights at first but they weren’t happy until I put them in a SE window. Hopefully yours will too! :)
