Hi there! I watched a few informational videos on carnivorous plants, more specifically Venus fly traps when I first got mine. YouTube is a great resource for videos like these that can give you a quick rundown on owning these plants. I found them very informative and discovered that fly traps oftentimes can go awhile without eating bugs. If you’re worried, or keep it inside, I would recommend buying some fly trap food you can give it in replacement for bugs. But, nothing is better for a fly trap than a moist environment with lots of sun, outside! I keep mine on my patio.

also make sure the water is distilled. fly traps cannot handle tap or filtered water - too many minerals. I would recommend investing in carnivorous soil as well. I got mine for $10 off Amazon!
