I need help!! My VFT are getting eaten by something. Is it soil mites or spider mites?? Today I was watering them because it has been a few. And in one of their dishes a little white bug was running around. I killed it. Then I noticed this white stuff on the moss!! Mÿ questions are: What are they? Can I use neem on carnivores plants? Do you think it is on my other plants around them? Need an answer asap!! Thanks in advance!

Do you have any images of these mites in question that’s the most important step. I’m not an expert on mites but someone who is would need that info. Could possibly be springtails which break down organic matter. VFT drop and kill of leaves all the time it’s very normal. Make sure you use appropriate water and the appropriate method of watering and give her tons of light. If you can get her to eat make sure you feed about 1-2 traps per month till it’s time to winter her. Trim off any dead aka blackened leaves with sharp shears. As close to the point of growth as possible.

To be honest it looks very wet and could be facing rot, are you letting her dry out in between watering?, and what water do you use?
