Have had my pitcher plant for about two months, and it’s started to go dry and crispy. Repotted as the pot was very small, it’s in a south facing window already and I water and mist as and when the app tells me to. I’m going to start only using rainwater for it, but is there anything else I can do to revive it? Recently lost my flytrap and can’t stand the thought of another heartbreak lol. Thanks.

I would change water immediately to rain water or ro/ distilled water. Also when it comes to pots make sure it’s nothing that can leech minerals in the soil and water. Also might wanna invest in a pot that has drainage so you can make a bog, basically you fill a saucer with the plant pot in it and let it go for a few days till it runs dry, then you wait a day or two then refill the saucer. It’s worked a charm for my vft I have already like 5 new growths. Hoping to get one to eat soon!

Thank you! Yeah the bottom of the beans tin has a layer of leca for drainage, which has worked well for my other tinned plants so hoping the pitcher plant likes it lol. My VFT had a nice saucer to sit in which always had a little water, it was doing great and then one day I looked at it and it has almost died overnight 😭

I would just switch to a carnivorous plant soil mix and get a plastic pot for best results. The minerals in pots and soils can really make them upset them. As they come from places that are very nutrient deficient, and mineral deficient so they don’t take to kindly to them.
