Hey there. I’m so glad there’s a place to go for help with my plants. My daughter is a plant addict and most of her plants end up with me because she flies private jets and is never home. I’ve already killed a huge, beautiful Monstera. I’d like to try to educate myself to save the rest of my crew. My first question is I have a pitcher plant and would like to know the best pot to keep it in. Currently I am trying to revive it from the dead.

Pitcher plants are native to bogs and require water 24/7. For my carnivorous plants I have a saucer full of water that I float them in. I also list them daily. Make sure to use RO water or distilled water, tap water contains too much nitrogen and will overdose/kill your plant. Hope this helps! :)

In the background of this picture I have Venus Flytraps in a cup of water, this works too, just make sure the water touches the bottom of your plant. Also make sure they get as much light as you can give them!

So do you take them down and float them and then hang them back up?

I just always have them in a dish of water, they shouldn’t ever dry out
