   There is a great video on YouTube called “The Ultimate Nepenthes Cutting Guide” from Predatory Plants. I’m doing my first try of it and unfortunately don’t have anything to report except that a month or so later the prop is still alive!

   When I chopped and propped my Alata I had 2 leaves on each but cut them short. I put them in a gallon ziplock bag with a little water and hung it up close to a light and then when I saw growth and roots I put them in 2.7” plastic pots and kept them in my terrarium for about a month before putting them in the windowsill. I just repotted them last night after finding clear net pots on TEMU. I used chunky perlite and coconut chips mixed with sphagnum. The tiny black roots need to breathe. That’s the smallest cutting with the best roots ☝️
